Back in August, Kris and I went to the Iowa State Fair and we brought my very good friend Tasha and her husband Aaron along.

I was out of town for a week (first to Indiana, home for 36 hours, then to Chicago) and during that time I only took one picture. While in Chicago, I decided I wanted ice cream.

I have my weekend plans.

I picked up the electronics book because I have another project planned but I need to figure out how to complete it. The book on bartending I picked up because it looked like fun.

Strawberries

Kris and I told our dad that if he wanted to go to one of those 'pick it yourself' strawberry places, we would do stuff with whatever he picked. He brought us 30lbs of strawberries!

We cleaned and cut all the berries 2 nights ago and spent most of tonight making preserves. It was our first experience with canning and it looks like it went well so tomorrow we are going to dive in and do lots more.

I like to play this game with Kris.

She has this thing with remembering lyrics (if she has heard a song twice, she knows every lyric). I have been finding weird song covers on Tumblr. I quiz her to name either the person singing or the name of the song. She gets it about 80% of the time.

Sushi Conveyor

You should really watch this video. A girl set her camera on the convery belt at a kaiten (conveyor) sushi restaurant in Japan. The video is really delightful, and it's worth watching all of it.
